Team Coaching

Who it’s for

Team Coaching has been used successfully in all types of teams. We often work with Senior Leadership Teams in organisations but we also have experience with Project Teams, Site Teams, Sales Teams, HR Teams and Operations Teams.

Team coaching is valuable for any group of people who are working interdependently with a shared objective. Research shows that that most teams fail to fulfil their potential. Below are some of the questions we might use to help the team identify opportunities for improvement:

  • How much clarity do you have around a shared objective?

  • In what ways must you work together to achieve your shared objective?

  • What agreements have you made with each other about how you work effectively together?

  • On what occasions have you performed best as a team and what conditions were present to enable that?

  • What voices are not being heard in this team?

Any team, including Executive Committees and Boards of Directors, can benefit from Team Coaching.

When will Team Coaching prove useful

  • When designing or maintaining a high performing team is strategically critical to the organisation.

  • When there is a change in the leadership and a natural opportunity to make a step change in performance.

  • When the thinking and ways of working that worked in previous years will not deliver success in the future.

  • When there is a feeling that the team is getting stuck, wrestling with the same issues and not making enough progress.

  • When the leader needs to partner objectively with the rest of the team to explore how they can be more effective.

  • When the team is not working effectively within its system, with the internal and external stakeholders.

  • When it’s time for the team to re-contract on its makeup, its purpose and how it works together.
